This season is wonderful!!! I am enjoying it all, except the fact that when I get my husband back has now become unsure. I have had the opportunity to participate in service for my family and friends, but I have also witness greater services that have really been answers to prayers. It fills my heart with gratitude to know a friend is struggling, and they are between tears and prayers, and someone (I honestly don't know who) dropped a large sum of money off on their door step. To be so in tune to the spirit to have answered such a large prayer. How wonderful that is.
We are doing 2 Christmas Chains, one requires a service from each child before the end of the day, and the other is reading bits of the Christmas story, and prophecies of Christ birth each day. I am LOVING this. my house is so much stronger with the spirit. The kids are looking and excited for service, and I hate to admit we are for the first time reading scriptures nightly.
Christmas is truly not about receiving gifts. I love to give them, and they are nice, but to give, and give something needed.... that is Christmas.
